In fall 2011 I had black beauty sod installed. Fantastic, thick, lush until last summer when I had a case of brown patch and also a patio installation that left me with many spots to seed.
I used JG black beauty(not the ultra). Took a while to germinate, but when it finally did the grass was light green with fine roundish blades...not flat blades. It is nothing like the dark, flat, and waxy black beauty grass and the spots on the lawn are painfully obvious.
Did the forumula change? Did I get a bag of lemons? What do I do now?

Hi Barry - It sounds like you lawn needs to be fertilized. Try using our Green-Up Lawn Fertilizer and Mag-I-Cal Calcium Fertilizer. Just like us the lawn needs to be fed regularly to stay healthy and strong. You can also use our new product Love Your Lawn-Love Your Soil to help improve the soil which is the source of many lawn problems. The new grass will continue to grow and mature and become darker in color over time.
