I am rebuilding the neglected lawn at my new home with JG products. My property is shaded by several large oak and elm trees and some low areas that get damp.
I seeded with Shady Nooks over the last 2 years and the lawn is coming along. However, I do have some issues with dandelions, clover, and some other broadleaf weeds.
Will the type of grasses in this mix be OK with a typical broad spectrum spray? I do not see the Poa Trivialis grass listed as safe on any sprays I have found.
I want to knock the weeds back, but don't want to kill off my lawn! Any advice?

Hi Steve - We would recommend using either our Lawn Weed Control or Weed and Feed products to control your weeds. Be sure that the lawn is well established and that any new seeding you have done lately has been mowed at least two times before applying any weed controls. We would also suggest applying our Mag-I-Cal Calcium Fertilizer and new Love Your Lawn-Love Your Soil. These organic products will help balance and improve the soil itself which is oftentimes the cause of weeds in the lawn.
