I used the fertilzer for new seed with crabgrass control. I put it down after the grass started coming in. It burned my grass very badly. I do not understand this. I paid a good price for this and I had to start all over again and plant more grass. I followed all the directions on the bag. This is the first time i have ever used this product and now I will be scared to use it again.

Dear Patricia and Michael - The Crabgrass Plus New Seeding Lawn Fertilizer does not control existing crabgrass. Also it should not be applied in the hot summer temperatures. You should not apply any fertilizers to the lawn when it is over 85 degrees as it does risk stressing and burning the lawn. Lastly if this product was applied at the higher rate to try and control existing crabgrass (which it will not) it would damage the lawn at this time of the year. We would be happy to send you a replacement bag of seed to help repair the damaged spot. Please email us your contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
