We followed your four step new lawn process on April 10th and then had snow. Do we need to start over or do you think there is still hope?

RE: Seed germination after frost

Hi Heidi- The seed should be fine. Once the soil temperature reaches a consistent 55 degrees the grass can start to germinate. Then it will take anywhere from 10 days - three weeks for it to germinate depending on the grass seed you used. Don't worry, we have all felt the harsh spring and I think it is finally turning around!
