I am looking for details on how the grass seed used in Ultra Black Beauty is developed to give it all its characteristics that make it so green, give it its waxy protective layer, make it insect resistant, etc. Is this just a careful combination of quality grass seed or is there some science involved?

RE: Details About Ultra Black Beauty Formulation?

Hi Mike - Our Black Beauty grass seeds are the result of years of scientific research and development. We have cross bred two plants, one from a dry and arid climate and one from a cold, wet climate, to create a superior plant. Black Beauty and Black Beauty Ultra grass seeds are drought and disease resistant due to their genetics. These grasses are dark green in color, are deep rooting so they require less watering and possess a waxy cuticle coating to preserve moisture in the plant. They also contain endophytes which are naturally occuring and deter surface feeding insects.
