How can we help?

How long should I water my lawn?

Answer:

Lawns on average need about an inch of water per week, including rainfall.

Water your lawn early in the morning, two to three times a week for 15 – 20 minutes per zone. This will give you about an inch of water per week. Increase your schedule to 30 minutes per zone per week during times of extreme heat or drought to prevent your lawn from going dormant. During the cooler months (September to October) reduce watering to once a week. If you live near an area that experiences frequent rainfall, shorten watering times to avoid overwatering which can lead to diseases like fungus. Remember, watering your lawn according to climate, season, and soil conditions is important!
