Crabgrass in the Fall
Answer:
In the fall, we recommend just leaving crabgrass be. It is an annual plant and will die off with the first frost. Overseed in mid-September to thicken the lawn and help choke out the crabgrass. Do not worry if it is present when you seed, it will be gone soon enough. Next year, apply Veri-Green Crabgrass Preventer plus Lawn Fertilizer at the end of April and Season-Long Weed Preventer at the beginning of June. They work well together.
