A healthy, thick lawn is the first weapon against this weed. Thick, lush grass leaves no room for the plant seeds to grow. Proper mowing and fertilizing produces a healthy lawn that is less likely to get invasive weed species. Veri-Green Crabgrass Preventer plus Lawn Fertilizer will control this weed as a pre-emergent. A non-selective spray will need to be used, if desired, as a post emergent.
