What do I do if it rains after applying fertilizer?

If you experience rain after you’ve applied a fertilizer that requires the lawn to be dry 24 – 48 hours post-application, like Veri-Green Weed & Feed, observe the lawn for any changes in effectiveness and wait about four weeks before reapplying to avoid fertilizer burn. 

As a general rule, you should always pay close attention to the time of year, climate conditions, and your local weather forecast prior to feeding your lawn. Only apply fertilizer if heavy rain is not occurring or predicted to avoid harmful and wasteful runoff.
