The Natural Lawn Care Bundle includes Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food. This all-natural pre-emergent weed control gently feeds the lawn and prevents over 25 types of lawn weeds, including dandelions and crabgrass prior to germination. Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food uses patented corn gluten technology to naturally prevent weed seeds from forming roots after germinating.

In addition to Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food, The Natural Lawn Care Bundle includes Organic Lawn Food, an all-natural fertilizer made with animal and plant proteins that gently feed and green up your lawn. Organic Lawn Food is composed of 100% food-grade ingredients, including feather meal, soybean meal, and blood meal. Unlike other all-natural lawn fertilizers, Organic Lawn Food has no undesirable manures or sludge-based fertilizers. It also contains iron to provide a rich natural, dark green color to your lawn.

The Natural Lawn Care Bundle also includes Natural Grub & Lawn Insect Control, which kills and repels grubs and over 100 other pesky lawn insects, such as chinch bugs, ants, fleas, crickets, and more! Natural Grub & Lawn Insect Control uses a proprietary blend of plant oils, including rosemary oil and peppermint oil to provide a natural defense against lawn insects. It also kills all stages of the grub life cycle without the use of neonicotinoids.

How Do I Calculate My Lawn Size? First measure the length and width of your lawn. Then multiply the length by the width and deduct the square footage of any non-lawn areas (landscape bed, patio, deck, pool, etc.) from the total. Now you know how much product you need to purchase!

  • Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food: The best time to apply Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food is in early spring before crabgrass, dandelions or other broadleaf weeds germinate.

     

    Organic Lawn Food: Apply anytime between spring, summer or fall. It can be applied the same day you seed or lay sod. For grass seed to germinate, soil temperatures must be at least 55°F, and air temperatures should not exceed 75°F.

     

    Natural Grub & Insect Control: This product can be applied any time when soil temperatures are at least 55°F and air temperatures do not exceed 85°F.

  • Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food: No

    • After applying Corn Gluten Weed Preventer – wait 60 – 90 days to plant grass seed
    • After seeding – wait 45 days to apply Corn Gluten Weed Preventer

     

    Organic Lawn Food and Natural Grub & Insect Control: Yes, these products can be used the same day you seed.

  • When purchasing this bundle we recommend applying Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food in the early spring, Natural Grub & Insect Control in the early summer, and Organic Lawn Food in the early Fall.

     

    Because they have different watering needs, we do not recommend applying all three of these products on the same day, however you will not harm your lawn by applying them all within the same week or month.

How to Apply

Corn Gluten Weed Preventer plus Lawn Food

Apply

For Lawns:

  • We recommend using a spreader to evenly distribute the product onto your lawn.
  • Check to make sure the spreader opening at the bottom of the hopper is closed.
  • Set the spreader according to the recommended setting on the packaging or use our Spreader Settings Tool above.
  • Apply around the perimeter of the lawn to establish a turning area. Then run the spreader back and forth within the area outlined by your first perimeter application. Always allow overlap to avoid gaps in coverage.

For Gardens:

  • Spread Corn Gluten Weed Preventer on the surface of the soil after flowers or other plants have been planted.
  • Do not till it in. Incorporating this product into the soil will hurt the roots of the flowers, vegetables, and landscape plants in the garden.
Post Application
  • Sweep any excess granules off of hard surfaces and back onto the lawn.
  • For best results, irrigate the treated area after application for 15 to 30 minutes and then allow it to dry for 2 to 3 days. Excessive rainfall or irrigation may require re-application for effective weed control.
  • Do not seed for 60 to 90 days after application.

Apply

  • To avoid staining, sweep any excess granules off of hard surfaces and back onto the lawn.
  • Irrigate the treated area after application for best results.
  • Once watered, wait a day to mow the lawn allowing the product time to activate.

Apply
  • For lawns, use a spreader to uniformly apply.
  • For landscapes, ornamentals, and flowers, use a handheld spreader or distribute by hand. Wear gloves and wash hands after application.
  • Can also be spread on top of mulch beds to eliminate insect pests.
  • Check to make sure the spreader opening at the bottom of the hopper is closed.
  • Set the spreader according to the recommended setting on the packaging or use our Spreader Settings Tool above.
  • Push the lever forward only when ready to spread.
  • Apply fertilizer around the perimeter of the lawn to establish a turning area. Then run the spreader back and forth within the area outlined by your first perimeter application. Always allow an overlap to avoid gaps in coverage.
Post Application
  • Sweep any excess granules off of hard surfaces onto the lawn.
  • When treating surface insects: The granules should not be watered after application. May need to re-apply after heavy rainfall.
  • When treating grubs: Water in granules for 15 minutes to reach soil-inhabiting pests.
  • For heavy insect infestations, reapply every 4 to 6 weeks.
